Renovation & Style

The Dream Look
A wall-mounted TV with zero visible cables - the screen floats, the soundbar sits clean, and your gaming console or Sky box lives in a cabinet below. No tangle of leads, no dust-collecting mess. That's a proper media wall, and it takes planning.
Trade Secret
Run a double or triple outlet behind the TV and a corresponding bank in the cabinet below - linked by a brush plate or recessed duct. Use Cat6 for HDMI over Ethernet if your runs are long. And plan for the future: an extra cable or two now costs little; adding them later means opening the wall again. Pro tip: if the wall is stud, we can often fish cables without chasing - just a small access hole behind the TV and one below.
The Mess Factor
If we're chasing plaster, expect dust - we'll minimise it with extraction and sheets. For stud walls, disruption is often minimal: we cut a chase or use the cavity, feed the cables, and make good. The worst part is usually making good the chased sections; we'll fill and leave ready for decoration. A typical media wall install is a day, including making good.
Thanet Home Highlight
Media walls and TV installations are a regular request across Thanet - especially in Margate's newer builds and Ramsgate's refurbished townhouses. Solid walls are common, so chasing is usual; we'll advise on the cleanest route and ensure cables are future-proofed. We've done plenty of living-room refits where the TV is the centrepiece.
